A quick reminder: I will be giving a talk about my journalism career to the West Virginia University student chapter of Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) this Thursday, March 24 at 6 pm. The event is open to WVU students and faculty and will be held in Room 201 of the Reed College of Media (where I taught journalism before retiring). I look forward to reconnecting with WVU students and discussing my memoir, Brassy Broad: How one journalist helped pave the way to #MeToo. If you’re a student or faculty at WVU, please join us!
I will also be participating in a live Zoom interview with another veteran journalist on April 10. More details to come, but for now here is the teaser, courtesy of Catherine Underhill Fitzpatrick:
In an era of rapid change in how news is gathered, reported, and disseminated, two award-winning journalists and authors reflect on their early careers, on the challenges they faced as women in a field dominated by men, and on the qualities required to survive, achieve, and rise on an uneven playing field. Join Elizabeth Gibson, Acquisition Editor at Bedazzled Ink Publishers, as she interviews Alison Bass and Catherine Underhill Fitzpatrick in a live Zoom event Sunday, April 10, 2022.
I really enjoyed reading Brassy Broad. Side Effects and Getting Screwed arrived today. I know I will enjoy them just as much! Thank you Alison!
Thanks for your interest Mary Jo! Hope you enjoy reading them!
