I will be giving a talk about Rebecca of Ivanhoe at The Book Cellar, a bookstore in Chicago on April 18. The Book Cellar, which is located in Lincoln Square, is my son and daughter-in-law’s favorite bookstore, and they suggested I reach out since I’ll be in Chicago then visiting them then. The talk is at 6:30 pm and I hope you can join us! Rebecca of Ivanhoe is getting great reviews, and I’ll be talking about how I got the idea for writing a sequel to Sir Walter Scott’s classic tale as well as the research I did to imagine the story of Rebecca after she is rescued by the knight Ivanhoe from being burned alive as a witch in 12th century England.
